Holistic Longevity Expert
Retirement has opened my eyes in ways I never imagined. My experience in retirement reminds me of the Death Cab for Cutie song ‘Soul Meets Body.’ If you’re not familiar with the song, try searching for it on Google or iTunes and give it a listen. It feels like I’ve stepped into a new version of myself—let’s call it Bobby P 2.0! I’ve rediscovered my passions and embraced the joy of living in the moment, adopting lifestyle-driven practices to maintain vitality, balance, and quality of life as I’ve grown older. As an expert in Holistic Longevity, my
mission is to empower both men and women to embrace longevity and holistic aging, unlock their full potential, and thrive as they transition into a new phase of life. Most people prepare financially for retirement—but few prepare physically, mentally, emotionally, or socially. Together, we will build a personalized longevity trailmap for you, focused on maximizing your healthspan—the years of life lived with strength, cognitive sharpness, mobility, purpose, and independence. Here’s a glimpse into my
retired mindset, and thesecan apply to every person, regardless of financial resources and health status:
- I’ve got renewed mental clarity and focus.
- I remind myself daily to be in the moment, present, and engaged.
- I’m committed to my nutrition for metabolic health and regular movement for strength & mobility.
- I’ve rekindled my spirituality and connections with family & friends.
Join Our Journey!
The insights I’ve shared above are the foundation for the TRM Momentum model and framework, The Seven Trails to Holistic Longevity. While retirement for me has indeed been transformational, it was not immediate bliss. I describe it as a “free fall” while asking myself: “Who am I without my career?” Through intentional work on mental clarity, physical health, relationships, purpose, community, and spiritual grounding, I’ve been reinventing my life from the inside out. Retirement is not simply a financial milestone or extended vacation. It is a profound life transition – one that can bring both freedom and uncertainty. I believe retirement can become our most meaningful and fulfilling chapter of life, but only if approached with intention. I want to help people not only thrive in retirement but truly thrive within it. Because The Retired Mindset is more than a concept or philosophy – it’s an invitation!

Kathryn Linehan
Executive Director
Health and Longevity
I’ve joined The Retired Mindset as the Executive Director of Health and Longevity to help our clients and members pursue the interconnected trails of body, vitality, and nutrition. Early in life, I was an avid swimmer and loved all forms of dance; however, by the age of 30, my athleticism had taken its toll, and both my feet and hips needed corrective surgery. The recovery periods were long, and physical therapy didn’t help me regain the athletic edge to which I was accustomed. Through my dance community, I was introduced
to Pilates reformer routines, which became key to my full recovery. This led to being introduced to the circle of Joseph Pilates’ lineage of original teachers known as the “Pilates Elders”. They played a crucial role in preserving and spreading the true Pilates method, and a decade of study with them helped refine my Pilates practice. This sense of wholeness and integration now brings greater discernment to all other aspects of my life. Here’s a glimpse into my retired mindset and pursuit of holistic longevity:
- I have greater clarity and focus because my feet are now stronger and more pliable
- My entire body feels calmer, which translates into a quietude of inner joy.
- I focus on skeletal muscle development, core strength for balance/agility, and stretching for increasing range of motion.
- I love sharing this life-giving path that brings hope to so many.

About The Retired Mindset™
The Retired Mindset exists for high-functioning adults who have spent decades building careers, raising families, leading organizations, and fulfilling responsibilities—only to discover that retirement presents a challenge few people truly prepare for.
Not the financial challenge. The human one. Retirement can create extraordinary freedom, but it can also surface profound uncertainty. Without the structure of a career, title, routine, or external achievement, many people quietly struggle with questions of identity, purpose, relevance, health, and meaning.
This is where The Retired Mindset is different. We provide psychology-informed, holistic longevity coaching that integrates a biopsychosocial-spiritual approach with biomarker hard-science data for adults navigating retirement and reinvention. Our work sits at the intersection of longevity science, wellness optimization, behavioral psychology, mindset coaching, and purposeful living.
Through our proprietary TRM Momentum™ framework, we help guide clients along the
Seven Trails to Holistic Longevity:
- Soul.
- Body.
- Vitality
- Nutrition.
- Purpose.
- Connection.
- Spirituality
Retirement is not the end of the story. For many, it may be the first chapter they finally get to author fully on their own terms. At The Retired Mindset, we help ensure that the chapter is written with intention, vitality, courage, and momentum.
